Mark Heth, CEO of Iowa Community Credit Union, Elected as Chairman
of Iowa Credit Union League Board
Cedar Falls, Iowa –Mark Heth, CEO of Iowa Community Credit Union was recently elected by the Iowa Credit Union League Board to serve as their Chairman. As the highest elected leader of the Iowa credit union movement, Heth represents the interests of Iowa's 155 credit unions and their nearly 1 million members. The League is the trade association for Iowa's not-for-profit credit union industry.
"On behalf of the Iowa Credit Union League, I would like to congratulate Mark on being elected as the Chairman of the League Board of Directors," said League Vice President Patrick Jury. "We sincerely appreciate Mark's willingness to lead the League, and the entire credit union industry, in fulfilling our long-term strategic vision. I look forward to working with him."
Heth became the President/CEO of Iowa Community Credit Union in 1986. Prior to his current position, he was a Consultant for the Iowa Credit Union League based in Des Moines, IA. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Northern Iowa as well as an MBA from St. Ambrose University. Heth became a Certified Credit Union Executive in 1989 and has numerous other professional achievements. He served on the Credit Union Executive Society (CUES) Board of Directors from 1996 -2005. In 2003, Heth was inducted into the CUES Hall of Fame. Heth has served on various League committees as well as the Board since 1989. He currently serves on the CUPAC Board of Trustees and as Principle Key Contact for Senator Grassley.
