Rosanne Bowers, Iowa Community Credit Union, Elected to Iowa Credit Union League Payday Lending Task Force
Cedar Falls, Iowa—Rosanne Bowers, Executive Vice President at Iowa Community Credit Union, has been appointed to serve on the Iowa Credit Union League Payday Lending Task Force for 2006-07. By serving on this committee, Rosanne represents the collective interests and future of Iowa’s 151 credit unions and their nearly 1 million members. The league is the trade association for Iowa’s not-for-profit credit union industry. “On behalf of the Iowa Credit Union League, I would like to congratulate Rosanne Bowers on being selected to serve on the League’s Payday Lending Task Force.” said League President/CEO Patrick Jury. “We sincerely appreciate Rosanne’s willingness to lead the League, and the entire credit union industry, in fulfilling our long-term strategic vision. I look forward to working with her.”
Rosanne has worked in the credit union industry for more than 20 years and is a strong advocate for credit unions. In her position, she oversees the loan department as well as works to continually enhance the Credit Union by being a key decision maker and facilitator. She has a Business Management degree from Upper Iowa University and recently graduated from the Cedar Valley Leadership Institute, a Chamber of Commerce program dedicated to the advancement of future leaders. Rosanne is active with the Greater Cedar Valley Chamber of Commerce community involvement committees and government affairs committee as well as a member of the Waterloo Exchange Club and Toastmasters. “It’s an honor to be appointed to serve on the League’s Payday Lending Task Force and I look forward to working with other Iowa credit union leaders to develop initiatives that will better serve our members and advance our industry.” said Bowers.
